We all love the scene, Audrey Hepburn having breakfast while standing in front of Tiffany & Co gazing into the store window. I have always dreamed of reliving the movie Breakfast at Tiffany’s and last December I had the pleasure of dining at the Blue Box Cafe in New York City!
Reservations are extremely difficult to come by and can only be obtained 30 days in advance through Resy.com. It took me 4 days before I was able to secure a reservation and they booked up in a matter of minutes. Pro Tip: Quickly select an obscure afternoon time slot while trying to book, as I noticed that the first available times go quicker. I was able to snag a 12:45pm time slot.
The Blue Box Cafe is located on the 4th floor of Tiffany & Co and breakfast, lunch, and afternoon tea are served all day long.
The walls and chairs of the cafe are decorated with the gorgeous Tiffany color. The tables are set with Tiffany & Co. branded china that are available for purchase afterward.
I decided to have the lunch selection and it came with a starter and a main course for $42. I ordered a glass of the Camarey Rosé for my beverage. For the starter I had the Sheep’s Milk Ricotta Toast. Sliced squash and pear were placed on top and drizzled with honey. It was delicious!
For my main course I had the Tomato and Fresh Mozzarella Fifty-Seventh Street Flatbread. It was a large piece of flatbread with 8 pieces. It had a slight bland taste so I would highly recommend ordering another main course option.
It was a beautiful day and I had a gorgeous view of Central Park. If you want to treat yourself while in New York City, I would recommend a trip to the Blue Box Cafe!
Until next time,
